Founder and learning scientist

Hi, I'm Anabil, the founder of Katha.

Over the last ten years, I've been studying how people learn, and how we can build technology that supports learning and unlocks human capabilities. One thing I've noticed is that I, and countless others in my life, often hit a wall in our day-to-day conversations: a gap between what we mean, what we say, and what someone else hears. And if this gap shows up in a high-stakes conversation, the consequences can be life-altering. It may mean missing out on an outcome that could have reshaped our careers and lives for the better. So, I set out to close this gap by building Katha, a personalized coaching framework that is grounded in research insights and prepares people for the crucial conversations they are struggling with.

And I truly feel that now is the time to start thinking deeply about building these skills. In an age where AI agents take on more of our technical workload, what will set us apart is honing the skillset that is uniquely human: handling hard conversations well, being heard and understood, and bringing people with us.

I am building Katha from a place of real passion about driving impact. I've seen what great human coaching can do for people, but I've also seen how it is often a luxury inaccessible to most. Katha is my attempt to make great coaching accessible to anyone who needs it. I hope that someone I may never meet is able to use Katha to learn the skills that help them walk into a critical conversation the next day or the next week with renewed confidence and walk out with a smile, feeling heard and understood.

Over time, I want Katha to help with the conversations that matter across life: from a student preparing for their first interview, to a professional navigating a difficult conversation, to that family conversation you've been avoiding.

Because everyone deserves to have access to a coach who can help them tell their katha, their story.
